Welcome to the NZIA website,

Mission Statement

To promote awareness and foster professional support and provide information and education in the skilled use of acupuncture and related therapies within the New Zealand healthcare system.

Why Join NZIA?

You will be able to fulfil the CPD requirements as required by your Regulatory Body – NZASA or NZRA.

Advantages of Membership include reduced rates to attend NZIA Peer Review Meetings which are held regularly throughout the year, with an option of viewing online for members outside of Auckland.

NZIA facilitates workshops, seminars and conferences, usually held in Auckland and other major cities.

NZIA is currently developing distance learning via the internet to our non-Auckland members.

As a Members of NZIA we are happy to list your practice details on the NZIA website at no charge.

We regularly disseminate information on other educational opportunities throughout Australia and New Zealand.

NZIA is developing an electronic journal which will be sent out to members twice yearly.

We can advise you on professional matters and on the ongoing HPCA process.

NZIA also can assist new practitioners with a mentoring programme.

NZIA is developing an Educational Fund which members may apply to, to assist with ongoing education or research into Acupuncture or Chinese Medicine. 

You will develop strong networks with colleagues and have opportunities to communicate with them regularly.

NZIA is a member of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS).
